The woods between Val di Sole and Val di Peio are among the best destinations to experience foliage in Italy. Take advantage of a 3-4 day weekend and come for easy hiking excursions among trees colored by the autumn hues. Get ready to be thrilled by the roar of the deer in Val di Rabbi or in the Stelvio National Park. Our expert guide will lead us through the spruce and larch forests rich in trails where you can admire the beauty of the autumn woods and discover all the charm of Pejo and its surroundings.
1st day: We meet at the hotel in Val di Pejo in the late afternoon for the meeting with our expert guide and the briefing with the entire group. In the evening, we dine with typical Trentino products.
2nd day: We are in one of the best destinations to experience foliage in Italy. By doing a part of the circular trek in Val Comasine, near Val di Pejo, we will reach some incredible panoramic points to enjoy the beauty of the tree canopies colored in red and gold. We will cross the ancient larch forest and return to the hotel only in the afternoon, to indulge in a few hours of relaxation in the hotel's SPA. Dinner and evening in good company. 3rd day: We depart around 6 for our excursion because the morning is the best time to hear the deer rut. Depending on where the herds are during this period, we will trek in Val di Rabbi or towards the Stelvio National Park. It will be an emotion to hear the calls of the deer in love or the sharp sound of antlers clashing during fights. In the evening, dinner and relaxation in good company, perhaps tasting a glass of good local wine. Itinerary info: 4-hour hike, breaks excluded, with 300 meters of elevation gain.
4th day: We have one last excursion in the Bosco degli Urogalli, a thematic route dedicated to Capercaillies or Cedroni Cocks. It is an easy excursion within the Stelvio National Park and a short distance from Pejo village. Along the forest road and near Malga Talè, you will encounter ancient farms in the center of large clearings, remnants of a bygone economy.
