Perched at the top of a cliff of tufa rock, Orvieto is one of the most enchanting towns in Umbria. Formerly an Etruscan settlement, it was abandoned during Roman times and re-inhabited from the Middle Ages. Its main highlight is the imposing Cathedralwhich silhouette towers in the skyline of the old town. There will be the chance to visit the Pozzo di San Patrizio(St. Patrick's Well), designed by famous architect Antonio da Sangallo in the 16th century.
The visit of Todi can begin from the beautiful Tempio della Consolazione at the beginning of the city. Going towards centre of the town, walking past the public gardens, you will see the Tempio di San Fortunato. Under Piazza del Popolo it is possible to admire the Roman Cisterns.
