Workshop of "en plein air" painting: the Plenarists in Umbria

1st day

Pick up at Roma Fiumicino and transfer to Terni. Hotel accommodation, welcome dinner and overnight stay.

2nd day

Breakfast at the hotel. At 09:00, meeting with the companion for the viewing of the documentary "The Enchanted Valley" (about 40 minutes) that illustrates the history of the artistic current and the project that enhances the importance. At the end of the transfer to the atelier, meeting with the artist, presentation of the project and painting techniques addressed Delivery of teaching materials and start of training.

13:00 lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. Departure by minivan with a guide to visit Papigno, a small village along the valley of Terni, perched on a rock and surrounded by ancient forests. The Plenarists were enchanted and dedicated such a number of works to make Papigno one of the most represented villages in the history of the landscape. Dinner, tasting, return to the hotel and overnight stay.

3rd day

Breakfast at the hotel. 10 am, transfer to the atelier and start of the painting workshop. 13:00 lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. Departure by minivan with guide to Lake Piediluco. Guided tour of the village and the views that have enchanted Jean-Baptiste Camile Corot, who in 1826 made here the poignant painting "Lake Piediluco", followed a few years later by "Souvenir d'Italie". Cruise around the lake at sunset with a photo stop and aperitif on board. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

4th day

Breakfast at the hotel. 10 am, transfer to the atelier and start of the painting workshop. 13:00 lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. In the afternoon departure by minivan with guide to San Gemini, charming medieval village for a guided tour of the archaeological park of Carsulae, of Roman origin, located along the ancient Via Flaminia. Gourmet dinner in the village of San Gemini. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

5th day

Breakfast at the hotel. At 09:30, transfer by minivan to Narni. Meeting with the artist and beginning of the activities of painting "en plein air", at the ancient Bridge of Augustus. Thanks to the grandeur of the Roman structure on the clear waters of the river Nera, the ancient Roman bridge, has fascinated important artists such as Turner, Corot, Blechen, Biodauld and many others. 13:00 lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. Walk in the old town of Narni for the guided tour of Narni Underground a magical and mysterious place. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

6th day

Breakfast at the hotel. 9:30 am, transfer by minivan to the Marmore Falls, meeting with the artist and start of painting activities "en plein air", 1:00 pm lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. Visit to the Virtual Museum and Cinema 6D dedicated to the works of Plenaryists in the area. Entrance to the park of the waterfall to admire, from various angles, the majesty of the jump of the river Velino in the Nera: a place of magnetic charm for the artists who created here many works "en plein air". Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

7th day

Breakfast at the hotel. 9:30 am, transfer by minivan to the Marmore Falls, meeting with the artist and start of painting activities "en plein air", 1:00 pm lunch break (about 1 hour). Continuation of activities until 17:00. Transfer by minivan to Ferentillo for a guided tour of the Abbey of San Pietro in Valle, of Lombard origin. Continuation for the visit of the impressive, and unique, Museum of Mummies in the crypt of the Church of Santo Stefano. Truffle-based tasting dinner and local specialities. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

8th day

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer to the airport and end of services.
