Day 1, 28 December 2022
Arrival in Palermo, check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2, 29 December 2022
From Palermo's historical centre to Monreale. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.
15 km in total. Difficulty level of the stage: medium - easy. Total height difference: approximately 400 metres. Characteristics of the route: flat on asphalt (except for the uphill stretch to Monreale of approximately 8 km, 2 of which are of medium difficulty.
Day 3, 30 December 2022
Discovering Bagheria, standing still in time, as far as the Costa Normanna. After a taste of a local pizza topped with ricotta and anchovies called "sfincione baarese", you will reach the seaside villages of Porticello and Sant'Elia.
The tour includes a stop at the lighthouse of Capo Zafferano via a breathtaking road overhanging the sea. Afterwards, return to Palermo through the seaside village of Aspra.
45 km in total. Difficulty level of the stage: easy. Total difference in altitude: approximately 350 metres - Characteristics of the route: flat on asphalt with some not particularly demanding climbs.
Day 4, 31 December 2022
From Palermo along the coast, cycling to Mondello, where the brave can experience the thrill of a mid-winter swim! We then reach the village of Sferracavallo, the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve and return through the Parco della Favorita. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay.
Return to Palermo and prepare for New Year's Eve dinner.
40 km in total. Difficulty level of the stage: medium - easy. Total difference in altitude: approximately 550 metres - Characteristics of the route: flat on asphalt with a few dirt tracks and a few climbs that are not particularly demanding.
