Valentine's Day is known around the world for its representing true love, which he has shown for those who want to follow a family and Christian life. No one can commercialize human love, because it is the divine sentiment that men have received from God as a gift, a gift to live together.
Valentine's Day patron saint of Terni and Saint of Love is celebrated on February 14th. The remains of St. Valentine are in Terni in the Basilica dedicated to him and guarded by the Order of Discalced Carmelites from 1606 to 1866, and then from 1906 to today. Since July 2011, the Discalced Carmelites from the Carmelite province of Manjummel (Kerala-India) that belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, take care of this beautiful Sanctuary and Basilica offering various possibilities to deepen Valentinian spirituality. During the year, tens of thousands of people visit this place dedicated to love.
