This medieval bike tour offers in a few kilometers the true essence of Lunigiana, among villages, woods, streams, parishes, castles, through the Val di Magra and the Natural and Cultural Park of Valle del Bagnone.
This tour is really suitable for everyone and is particularly recommended for families and for those who want to pedal after a period of inactivity.
You start to pedal from the Didactic Center Pieve di Sorano - Filattiera, Porta del Parco Nazionale for the parishes and historical streets. We proceed along the Via Francigena, in front of the Parish Church of S. Stefano di Sorano, the heart of the Lunigiana since the times of the Stele Statues.
First stop Castello di Malgrate, and then continue to discover the characteristic medieval villages of Valle del Bagnone and Taverone at the foot of the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the Mab Unesco Reserve.
Stop for lunch-tasting (not included) of typical products: Locanda Gavarini in Mocrone, Agriturismo Il Picchio Verde or Agriturismo Montagna Verde.
