Excursion a few kilometers from Spoleto, in the middle of the woods that enrich the mountain between the Valnerina and the Spoleto valley.
The circular route will allow you to admire large panoramic views of the Valnerina from above, in particular on Mount Coscerno and Val Casana, as well as appreciate the beauty of uncontaminated woods embellished by the presence of monumental chestnut specimens.
We will go in search of ancient vestiges of the past centuries now forgotten by man and of which nature is slowly but inexorably re-appropriating. It will be possible to look at the frescoes that adorn the interior of a now abandoned church, on the remains of centuries-old farmhouses, passing from the foundation stones of a Roman temple to the ruins of a medieval Benedictine hospital.
The departure is scheduled for 09:00, the total to be covered is about 11km for a total of about 6 hours.
