What is energy? What do we need it for?How do we produce it and how do we use it? Today it is possible, and the PeR is a real example, to be totally autonomous from an energy point of view. We will begin with an in-depth analysis of the electrical, thermal and water energy efficiency techniques, also with practical experiments, used within the Park as solutions which, even before self-production, make us reflect on the conscious use of resources. We will then go on to find out what the possibilities are of producing energy from renewable sources and we will experiment with various types of demonstrations on their functioning in the Park.
ACTIVITY PROGRAM:
- Reception and division into groups
- Visit to the zero energy house and all the Park's systems: stand-alone or grid-connected photovoltaic technologies, including thin film; solar thermal (flat-plate, vacuum and hot air collectors); solar and high efficiency pumping systems; the recovery of rainwater;
- Biomass energy production systems (wood, pellets, agricultural residues).
- Lunch (upon notification at the time of booking it is possible to have lunch at the PeR, )
- Laboratory activity for the construction of an appliance that uses renewable sources
- Visit to the Renewable Energy Park
