Deruta is one of the most famous villages in the world for the production of painted ceramics.
The town houses the Regional Museum of Ceramics, the oldest in Italy, founded in 1898, a place of conservation but also an exhibition model for all craftsmen.
After the guided tour of the museum that will let you know the historical artistic and social aspects of the collections, the experiential activity will begin.
Using the raw materials of the craftsman, you will have the opportunity to experience the decorative phases of the ceramic art according to the Deruta tradition: the choice of materials, the preparatory design, the dusting and the painting.
At the end of the workshop will be analyzed the work, the choice of subjects, the association of colors, the painting technique. The manufactured product can be sent free to the home (in Italy).
