The St. Francesco's Way start from The Saint Valley near Greccio, a plain wher the Velino river flews and it is sourrounded by mountains and hills. In this Saint Valley staied a lot of friars and monks, mainly Franciscan form XIII century.
The itinerary goes on to Valnerina Valley. Here you will overnight in Piediluco where you could admire its wonderfull lake. Valnerina Valley is famous mainly for the Marmore Falls.
The St. Francesco's Way crosses, also, Spoleto, Foligno and Spello, three of most typical villages in southern Umbria.
Assisi, where Francesco was born, will be the last stage of this route and it will leave you without words for its beauty and its holy atmosphere.
