The route winds along 15 stages in the places where Saint Francis lived and worked, visiting sanctuaries and religious sites linked to the saint's life.

Arrival in Assisi and overnight stay
1° stage from Assisi to Foligno
2° stage from Foligno to Trevi.
3° stage from Trevi to Poreta.
4° stage from Poreta to Spoleto.
5° stage from Spoleto to Ceselli.
6° stage from Ceselli to Arrone.
7° stage from Arrone to Piediluco.
8° stage from Piediluco to Poggio Bustone.
9° stage from Poggio Bustone to Rieti.
10° stage from Rieti to Poggio San Lorenzo.
11° stage from Poggio San Lorenzo to Ponticelli di Scandriglia.
12° stage from Ponticelli di Scandriglia to Passo Corese
13° stage from Passo Corese to Monterotondo
14° stage from Monterotondo to Monte Sacro
