Day 1

Arrival in Città della Pieve. Guided visit to the Casa dello Zafferano (Saffron House) and to the urban saffron grove, located in the heart of Città della Pieve. Possibility of participating in the harvesting of the flowers during the flowering period (October/November). Tasting of bruschettas, cheeses in combination with saffron honey, saffron liqueur and grappa.

Accommodation in a Country Resort and overnight stay.

Day 2

Departure for a day of urban and extra-urban trekking in the Terre del Perugino.

Accompanied by a tourist guide, after visiting the main works of art in Città della Pieve, we will start a route to discover the landscapes immortalised by the divine painter. Through San Litardo, the promontory on Lake Trasimeno, we cross the valley often depicted as a backdrop in his paintings, until we reach the beautiful village of Panicale, which houses one of the artist's most important works: the Martyrdom of St. Sebastian. Return to the Country Resort and overnight stay.

Day 3

Hire an e-bike and set off on a guided tour through the village of Piegaro up to Monte Arale, 853 m above sea level, the highest peak in the area. From here there is a wide panoramic view over the Nestore Valley, Lake Trasimeno and Lake Chiusi as far as Monte Peglia. An excursion of medium difficulty lasting about 5 hours.
Return to the Country Resort and free time to relax. Wine tasting combined with typical products in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Check out. Departure for Lake Trasimeno. Guided canoeing excursion of about 2 hours to reach and discover the Polvese Island, the smallest of the three islands of Lake Trasimeno, a real natural oasis.
