1st Day: Arrival
Welcome at Catania airport and transfer to your hotel in Milazzo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, known for its extraordinary historic center, medieval castle, and beautiful waterfront. Depending on the arrival time, there is a possibility to explore the historic center. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

2nd Day: Vulcano Departure by hydrofoil to the island of Vulcano.
Some free time to enjoy the "mud bath" or the black sand beaches. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, climb to the Crater of Fossa (3 hours of walking), which will surprise you with its numerous fumaroles and yellow sulfur crystals, a typical element of this island. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

Note: The program for this day may undergo changes; here is the alternative based on local access to the crater. Alternative excursion in case access to the Crater of Fossa is not authorized: Excursion to Monte Saraceno: The starting point for this magnificent excursion is the Porto di Levante and allows you to reach the summit of Monte Saraceno (481 m above sea level), an extinct volcano formed during the early evolution and formation of the Island of Vulcano. It is a round trip walk along the same path, taking about 4.5 hours. It is 9.4 km of walking and 480 m of elevation gain. During the walk, there are many things to see, depending on visibility: Sicily (Capo Milazzo, the Gulf of Tindari, and even Mount Etna), numerous lava flows, a splendid view of all the Aeolian Islands, and the Crater of Fossa (the main and active volcano of the island). A short transfer is planned at the beginning of the excursion.

3rd Day: Salina, Monte Fossa delle Felci Departure for Salina, the "green" island with twin mountains.
Ascent to Monte Fossa delle Felci, the highest peak of the Aeolian Islands. Short transfer to Valdichiesa, the starting and ending point of the excursion. Picnic during the hike. Return by the same route. At the end of the excursion, return to Vulcano. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

4th Day: Stromboli, "IDDU"
Boarding by hydrofoil to Stromboli and free time to explore the small island. Free lunch. In the afternoon, climb the volcano (up to the authorized limit of 290 meters). Picnic during the hike and overnight at the hotel.

Note: Access to the volcano is regulated and may be prohibited by local authorities. 5th Day: Milazzo-Taormina - Etna Boarding for Milazzo and continuation to Taormina. Free time (about 3 hours) to visit the beautiful city. Possibility to visit the Greek theater and the public garden. Picnic lunch. Departure from Taormina and transfer to Etna. Dinner and night at the refuge.

6th Day: Etna �\" Monte Sartorius
Breakfast at the refuge. Departure for the excursion to Piano Provenzana (1800 m). Continuing towards the Monti Sartorius, ancient craters formed by the lava flows of 1865. On the way back, pass through the Grotta dei Rotoli, a lava tunnel where you can admire particular rock formations: the rolls (rotoli in Italian; hence the name of the cave) and lava stalactites "dog's teeth." Picnic during the hike. Return to the refuge. Dinner and overnight.

Optional: Excursion to the summit craters of Etna: price: €130.00/person Attention: Depending on weather conditions (including snow), the excursion will be carried out from the South side OR the North side. If the South side: transfer to the South side (1 hour each way). Ascent by cable car to 2500 meters and continuation by 4x4 to 2920 meters. Accompanied by an authorized volcanologist guide, climb on foot to 3300 meters from where you can admire the summit craters of Etna. Descent on foot, passing through the panoramic point on the Valle del Bove. Return by cable car to the starting point. If the North side: Transfer from the Refuge to Piano Provenzana, departure by 4x4 bus with a volcanologist guide to 2920 meters, continuation on foot to 3300 meters. Descent to Piano delle Concazze at 2900 meters and return by 4x4 bus to Piano Provenzana.

7th Day: Etna - Catania
Excursion to Piano Provenzana (1800 m) to admire the last spectacular lava formations from the 2002 eruption and the craters of the eruptive fissure of 2002 and continue to the Grotta dei Lamponi (1700 m), a lava tunnel of extraordinary beauty. Picnic during the hike. Return on foot to the refuge. At the end of the excursion, transfer to Catania. Accommodation in a hotel, end of the guide service. Free dinner. Night at the hotel. 8th Day: End Transfer to Catania.
