The Castle of Monticelli consists of series of buildings located inside a medieval hamlet of rare beauty. It has become an exclusive historical residence situated at the top of a gentle hill.

It has a wonderful view on a wide valley and on Perugia. It has 4 towers which originally were military.

A careful restoration, respectful of the original characteristics, allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the complex: guests are housed in luxurious suites and finely furnished rooms or in comfortable and spacious apartments that retain ancient elements such as terracotta floors and beams on the ceiling.

The restaurant is inside a medieval hall with a bow ceiling. There you can taste typical traditional Italian dishes or simply delicious breakfasts with products from the organic farm of the estate.

The listed building dates back to 495 when it was built as a fortress by the Eastern Roman Empire to defend Peerugia form the Longobards. It later became a benedictine monastry. It is set in a large park with about 10,000 square meters of gardens in which there are also the two beautiful swimming pools.

The Castle of Monticelli is a unique location, halfway between Rome and Florence. It is located near several art cities such as Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto, Siena and Arezzo.
