Amusing and easy excursion to the Cave of the five lakes, nearby Piobbico, in the province of Pesaro-Urbino (Marche). The pathway is accessible to participants of any age / skill and ius really charming.
The entrance to the cave consists of various small spaces connected by narrow passages with low ceiling beyond which the gallery enlarges allowing to proceed standing up. Will reach a large cave known as "The Guano Hall", from which the "Fossile branch" starts, featuring other interesting caves. Will then reach the "Branch of the Lakes", main attraction of the cave. The first room is called "Candles room", for the presence of stalagmites. Descending along the gallery will reach the first lake which can be easily crossed with a railing. Another branch quite challenging and really tight is the "Desperates' branch". This gives access to a larger passage throug which will reach the "Orthoceras" room and from there, through a hidden link, the last smalllakes, beyond which a corridor leads to the "Ranchi" meadows, by the road Piobbico-Monte Nerone.
