The Val di Sole is situated within 3 mountain groups (Ortles-Cevedale to the north, Adamello-Presanella to the west and the Dolomites di Brenta to the south-west), and two protected national parks (Stelvio Park and Adamello Brenta Park).
Consequently our region offers a very wide range of possibilities for marvellous and accompanied excursions, with the scope of discovering many remarkable and unexplored corners of the area. Trekking, accompanied in total safety by professional Alpine Guide whowill allow you to discover landscapes and views which will astound you with their beauty and uniqueness.
An astounding and varied tour suitable for everybody. From the Malga Mare a comfortable walk on a path which will take you through larch and pine woods to Pian Venezia. From here a wonderful view across the mountain peaks of Vioz, Palon della Mare and Cevedale. On reaching the Larcher mountain refuge (2608 metres a.s.l.) time to eat before heading east. In a short time you will arrive at the enchanting Lake Marmotte noted for its beautiful emerald green reflection.(two and a half hours). After leaving the lake you will find yourselves on the edge of Lake Nero, located close to the manmade Caserer.
You will pass this great dam and descend by way of winding paths, until you reach the rocky ledge just above the point of departure. (5 hours).
Trekking boots with a vibram sole (avoid trainers); Gloves, hat and a minimum change of clothes (socks, underwear and possibly a very light track suit). Rucksack (we advise not to carry any unnecessary items, maximum weight of a full rucksack should be between 5-8 kilos depending on the type of trekking). A water flask ( this is the most practical and eco friendly container to carry liquids). A small first-aid kit. A sleeping-bag (obligatory for who overnights in the mountain refuge). Small items (e.g. torch, sunglasses, sun cream).
Minimum required training is essential. (750mt of positive uphill for 5 to 6 hours walk).
