On the Teramo side of the Gran Sasso, the lower part of the Fossaceca Gorge offers an unparalleled advanced canyoning experience.
Between white limestone walls and an impetuous stream that digs its way through the rocks, Fossaceca takes you to the heart of a majestic environment, where the mountain shows itself in all its strength and beauty.
This route is designed for those who already have canyoning experience, familiarity with the equipment and safety in rope descents. It is not a challenge for beginners: Fossaceca requires technical preparation and physical resistance.
To face it, it is essential to have completed at least one intermediate route such as the Forra del Helmet, perfect for testing your skills before trying your hand at this epic adventure.
With descents reaching 30 meters and a sequence of close descents, Fossaceca is a crescendo of emotions. This challenging itinerary will repay you with breathtaking views and unparalleled satisfaction.
