The dairy "4 Madonne", in the heart of Emilia, will open its doors offering you the opportunity to witness live the production of Parmigiano Reggiano. It will be an experience to discover a unique cheese, famous all over the world and the pride of Italian tradition. You will know the people who work every day in its production with the utmost respect for tradition.
The guided tour starts from the production hall and continues along the characteristic corridor designed to allow you to see closely all the phases of the production process. You will then proceed to the halls of the pre-saloon, the salerno, which contains over 2,100 forms, and finally the warm room. You will then visit the warehouse, containing 33,570 forms of Parmigiano Reggiano, and you will see the packaging workshop, where the shapes are cut and packaged.
To complete the visit, you will experience a gastronomic tour in the tasting room, where the different ripening of Parmigiano Reggiano DOP will be explained and tasted, as well as other typical products selected in combination with cheese ripening. At the end of the visit there will be a tasting of various seasonings of Parmigiano Reggiano, butter, tosone, balsamic vinegar, jams and / or honey, all washed down with excellent Lambrusco.
