Monte Nerone, the mountain that rises between Piobbico and the Umbrian side towards Citta' di Castello offers absolute views.
On beautiful days the route, certainly challenging due to the overall difference in altitude, always offers 180-degree views, from Pesaro to Conero, with the sides of the mountain that stand out directly against the clear sky a wild and fascinating environment.
The program includes starting from the town of Secchiano where you take the farm road that leads in about 8 km. of uphill to the Piani delle Cupe that after 5 hairpin bends allows us to reach the monument dedicated to the One Hundred Years of the Giro d'Italia. Then, slightly downhill, you reach the Rifugio Corsini where you can eat and refresh yourself before the descent on the old road to Piobbico that overlooks the Valle dell'Infernaccio.
Once the descent is over, you retrace the magnificent and panoramic internal road that leads from Rocca Leonella until you rejoin the starting point.
