In the second part of this active holiday, we will move towards Recanati and the Conero Riviera, enjoying easy bike excursions to Sirolo and Numana overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Along the way, you'll discover scenic countryside dotted with vineyards and olive groves, as well as the cultural heritage of Leopardi's homeland. Travel Itinerary
Day 1:
This cycling holiday among the villages of the Marche begins at a farmhouse with a pool in Cingoli-an enchanting place to relax and recharge. We take an initial bike ride to get familiar with the e-bike and enjoy the views from the Balcony of the Marche. The e-bike will allow us to tackle distances and elevation gains with ease, combining the pleasure of an active holiday with the discovery of the Marche hills. For the first three nights, we will be based in Cingoli; during the second part of the week, we will stay in a hotel in Recanati, from where we will set off for excursions to Numana, Sirolo, and Montecassiano.

Day 2:
The hills of Treia You'll ride along gravel and secondary roads winding through hills covered in vineyards and olive groves before reaching the medieval village of Treia, perched above the Potenza Valley. We will climb to the pass at the border of three municipalities, where our efforts will be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama stretching from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea. This historic village, with Roman roots and a past tied to the Via Flaminia, offers an emotional experience for lovers of cycling and authentic landscapes. Together with our guide, we return to the farmhouse in Cingoli.

Day 3:
Elcito, the fortress village Today we face the most challenging stage, at a relaxed pace, riding towards the striking village of Elcito-known as the Little Tibet of the Marche-near the spectacular beech forest of Canfaito. This clifftop village, surrounded by natural and historical beauty, once stood guard over the Valfucina Abbey below. We will cycle along the slopes of majestic Mount San Vicino, a symbol of the Marche ridge and a historic passageway for pilgrims and partisans. On the way back, a revitalizing stop along the lake will offer a moment of rest before heading back to our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. An experience combining challenge and contemplation, between nature and tradition.

Day 4:
The city of the Infinite We leave our farmhouse in the Marche countryside and head towards Recanati, the Adriatic coast, and the Conero Riviera. Crossing rolling landscapes and the hills of the Ancona and Macerata provinces, we will reach Recanati by e-bike. The route offers stunning views of cultivated fields and gentle slopes-perfect for those seeking an active holiday immersed in nature. The day ends with our arrival at the hotel in Recanati. Free time to explore the Hill of the Infinite at your own pace.

Day 5:
Towards the Conero Riviera Today we head to the Monte Conero Regional Park, Sirolo, and Numana, which we will reach together by bike. Pedalling comfortably thanks to the e-bikes, we ride among vineyards and olive groves to the beaches of Numana and Sirolo-perfect for a swim or a relaxing break. The return follows the seafront towards Porto Recanati before climbing the hills leading back to the city of Giacomo Leopardi. If we still have energy, we may ride a scenic detour along the Conero Panoramic Road, visiting the historic villages of Massignano and Il Poggio, ancient fortresses of the Marca Anconitana.

Day 6:
Italy's Most Beautiful Villages in the Marche We visit by bike the charming medieval villages of Montelupone and Montecassiano, both recognized among Italy's Most Beautiful Villages. Nestled among the rolling Marche hills, these towns preserve intact their historical walls and fascinating architecture. We ride along gentle valley roads, crossing lush countryside and passing places of great historical value, such as the ancient Abbey of San Firmano, over 1,000 years old. The route, marked by pleasant ups and downs, offers unique views, far from the crowds and immersed in nature's tranquillity.

Day 7:
The last breakfast of a group cycling holiday in Italy always has a special flavour. We take our time to say goodbye to new friends, our local guide, and the beautiful places that shaped this eco-friendly experience in the Marche. Those travelling back by train can return to Porto Recanati station, while those who arrived by car will find it conveniently waiting at the agriturismo in Recanati, where it was parked on the first day before the transfer to Cingoli.
