Between Riva del Garda and Torbole, you can find a perfect blend of city and nature, sports and relaxation: hiking and a taste of cycling will allow you to discover the natural and cultural side of these areas around Lake Garda. But it's not just Garda: from here, you can easily admire other Alpine lakes such as Lake Tenno, Lake Ledro, Lake Toblino, and more. In short, in just one week, you will manage to see villages, panoramas, small lakes, trails, castles, but above all, be captivated by the hidden beauty around every corner.
st Day: Arrival at the hotel in Riva Del Garda in the late afternoon and check-in to the reserved rooms. Meeting with the guide before dinner for a briefing on the upcoming week.
nd Day: Today, we head to Lake Tenno. We take the pedestrian road to Varone, leading us beneath the castle of Tenno. Here, we visit the medieval village of Frapporta, directly connected to the castle above. A few well-marked steps lead to the panoramic point of Grom, providing a breathtaking view of Riva and the upper part of Lake Garda. We continue our journey, which will take us to the shores of Lake Tenno, with a mandatory stop at the medieval village of Canale di Tenno, recently included among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Along a beautiful panoramic path, we reach the lake, where we'll be enchanted by the incredible colors of the waters reflecting the surrounding Alps. For the return to Riva del Garda, we take the local bus. Afternoon free, and we gather for dinner! Distance: 10.00 km - 5 hours of walking, including breaks. Elevation gain: 550+ meters.
rd Day: We walk along the lakeside of Riva del Garda and then Torbole, characterized by long beaches. Between Torbole and Nago, we traverse the famous Santa Lucia Path, an old paved road that connected Lake Garda to the Adige Valley. On a scenic road with views of the lake and Mount Brione, we reach the Busatte Park. A quick stop at the park's bar for a small refreshment, then we embark on the famous Busatte-Tempesta Path. This balcony path along the lake takes us through woods and breathtaking views to the locality of Tempesta. Along the way, we descend the famous 400 suspended iron panoramic steps attached to the rock. Upon reaching Tempesta, the bus takes us back to the hotel in 10 minutes, where we can relax on the long beaches of Riva del Garda. Distance: 12.00 km - 5 hours of walking, including breaks. Elevation gain/loss: D+ 400 meters.
th Day: Today, we cycle! After picking up the bikes near the hotel, we set off for Lake Toblino. The route is almost entirely on a bike path, ensuring absolute safety. After crossing the iron bridge over the Sarca River, we head towards the bike path named after the river. Along the way, we pass through the historic center of Arco with its castle perched on the town and the Fies power plant. We'll see the lunar landscape of the Marocche di Dro, the largest landslide in the entire Alpine arc. Arriving at Lake Toblino with its romantic castle, we'll have time to refresh at the castle's café. Before returning to Riva, a mandatory stop is at the Bike & Wine Bar in Dro, a beautiful place surrounded by vineyards where you can taste a glass of local wine. Easy descent back, and here we are back in Riva! Distance: 57.00 km - 7 hours of cycling, including breaks. Elevation gain/loss: D+ 400 meters.
th Day: We start on foot towards Lake Ledro, for a stretch on the Ponale Road, then after a couple of kilometers, we take the old path that connected Lake Garda to the Ledro Valley. The path we follow was the only connection between the old Ponale port and the Ledro Valley. Halfway through, we stop for lunch in Prè di Ledro, a village famous because here, for 86 days each year, the sun is not visible. Passing through the villages of the Biacesa di Ledro and Molina di Ledro valley, we reach Lake Ledro, an alpine lake at 650 meters above sea level famous for its pile dwellings. Here, before taking the local bus back to Riva del Garda, there is time for a lakeside aperitif and, if interested, to visit the Pile Dwellings Museum. Distance: 10.00 km - 5 hours of walking, including breaks. Elevation gain/loss: D+ 600 meters.
th Day: Departure by bus towards Pregasina, from here, after passing through a long tunnel and the small village, we head on an easy forest road to Punta Larici, at 907 meters above sea level, perhaps the most exciting panoramic point of the entire Lake Garda, from where we can see Italy's largest lake for all its 52 kilometers in length. In the long descent back to Riva del Garda, passing through the village of Pregasina, a stop is a must at the Panorama restaurant to taste its hearty home-cooked dishes. After replenishing ourselves and passing the towering statue Regina Mundi, where you can admire a unique panorama of Riva del Garda and Mount Brione, we enter the famous Ponale Path, an ancient and unique road that connected the Ledro Valley. Arriving in Riva del Garda by mid-afternoon, an aperitif together to bid farewell. Distance: 15.00 km - 7 hours of walking, including breaks. Elevation gain/loss: D+ 550 meters and D- 850 meters.
