Guided tour of Viterbo starting from the "Comune" townhall square, where we'll enter the Priori Palace which rooms are decorated with remarkable frescoes and paintings of late dating back to late Renaissance. In the courtyard a number of Etruscan findings such as pieces of sarcophagus are displayed. Will then continue to the Medieval "Piazza del Gesù" square, dominated by the Borgognone Tower, and then San Lorenzo square to admire the Papal palace with its refined logia and visit the Cathedral. Will then enter the Medieval district of san Pellegrino, with its dark marble facades, the typical outdoor staircases, the craftsmen shops and the fountains. Tour will include a visit to the Museum of the Brotherood of St. Rosa's Porters, housing scale reproductions of the famous "Machine". This is a 100 ft towering pedestal, on top of which there's a statue of St. Rosa, weighing 110 lb. Every yyear on Septermber 3rd it is brought in procession around Viterbo downtown carried by 100 men belonging to the Brotherhood.
