Everything comes from an old farmhouse on the hills of Amelia, where in the nearby land that has been uncultivated for years, some rows of centuries-old vines and olive trees resisted, which with great patience and great care have been recovered and brought back to new life. Over the years a modern winery was born: the cellars were renovated and the cultivation of native vines was enhanced. We are now in the third generation, which over the years has created the most representative labels of this territory, enhancing the characteristics of the different vines such as Ciliegiolo vinified in purity, Grechetto and Aleatico, but also Malvasia, Trebbiano and Sangiovese, translating them into wines with unique characteristics.
The vineyard is an asset to be preserved and respected, using agronomic practices with low environmental impact and in full respect of nature and its biodiversity.
The winery takes care of all the processing phases: from the reception of the grapes to the bottling, followed with a little interventionist approach to winemaking, up to the search for the right balance between human intervention and nature to obtain authentic, healthy and elegant.
An underground area is reserved for aging in ancient oak barrels and for refinement in the bottle. The underground nature of the building, the particular materials used and a natural ventilation system, ensure that this environment naturally offers the ideal microclimatic conditions for the evolution of wines. There are 3 types of visits with tasting:
- Discovering the Amelia DOC: visit of the vineyards with illustration and explanation of the organic cultivation techniques and the different types of vines in the area, such as Ciliegiolo and Grechetto. Access to the cellar to learn about the winemaking practices, the aging and bottling processes, to conclude with a tasting of 3 wines and EVO oil, accompanied by a taste of local cold cuts and cheeses. - Tasting of the BIO Antichi Cloni collection: walk through the vineyards of the ancient clones of Ciliegiolo and Malvasia, to discover the techniques of organic cultivation and those of natural winemaking and aging. The tasting includes the tasting of the 3 organic wines of the Antichi Cloni collection (Ciliegiolo, Rosato di Ciliegiolo and Malvasia) accompanied by cured meats, cheeses and EVO oil of internal production. - Tour with tasting of the Reserves: after a walk through the vineyards there is a visit to the aging cellar, where it will be possible to taste the reserves: Sciurio, Vignavecchia and Majolo. All of this will obviously be accompanied by a selection of excellent cold cuts and cheeses, as well as internally produced EVO oil.
N.B. Visits are scheduled from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00.
