Discover the winemaking traditions of Manarola with Alessandro, a young winemaker native of this beautiful village of the Cinque Terre.
From the center of Manarola, a walk through the main road that leads to the small port will give you the opportunity to admire the typical colored houses and the fishermen's boats moored along the road. From there go up in the direction of the cemetery which is located in a fantastic panoramic position from which you can enjoy a pleasant view of Manarola as well as a partial view of the village of Corniglia.
Through an ancient path through the gardens you reach the vineyards of Alessandro: there, he will explain how to distinguish the grape varieties and the different methods of pruning and viticulture. The path will lead you in front of the Church of San Lorenzo and with a little effort you will find yourself in the cellar of Alessandro where you can taste its white wine Cinque Terre DOC along with the typical Ligurian focaccia.
Alessandro is also a member of the Manarola Cinque Terre Foundation, created in 2014 to protect the cultural heritage of the village. By participating in this tour you will support the Foundation's project.
