Join us for a breathtaking cycling adventure to explore ancient lands and archaeologicalsites! Our Torre Maggiore cycling excursion will take you through picturesque landscapes and historic locations, offering a unique experience in the heart of Italy.
The circular route begins at Porta Romana and continues towards Sangemini, traversing scenic countryside roads heading eastward, all the way to the charming village of Cesi, the ancient capital of the Arnolfe Lands. Along the way, we'll make a brief stop at the S. Zavka viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas.
We'll continue our journey by heading to Sant'Erasmo, where we'll visit a beautiful church before proceeding to the summit of Monte Torre Maggiore. Here, we'll take a short 15-minute walk to reach the temples at an altitude of 1120 meters, providing you with an unforgettable panoramic view.
On the way back, we'll pass by the archaeological site of Carsulae, a place steeped in history and charm. By reservation, you'll have the opportunity to explore the excavations and immerse yourself in the ancient history of this area.
Our itinerary mostly follows secondary roads with low traffic density, including some gravel roads, covering a total of 25 kilometers and a positive elevation gain of 950 meters. This adventure is suitable for all ages and requires only minimal technical preparation for e-bike riding.
