After lunch, walk in the old village of Genzano to discover the history of the Sforza Cesarini family, and along Via Livia we will visit the historic ovens of bread cooked in wood and taste the typical local sweets. 3rd day
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with our guide and departure for Albano Laziale, where we will be able to come into contact with the ancient Roman era: we will visit the "cisternoni", large water reserves used by the Parthian legion allocated here and still functioning today, the Church of Santa Maria delle Rotonda built on a nymphaeum of the Villa of the emperor Domitian and the Amphitheater. 4th day
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for excursion to Fossanova - Terracina. 10.00 am arrival in Fossanova, meeting with the guide and stop at a dairy production of mozzarella di bufala to discover the production cycle and taste the different products (mozzarella di bufala, buffalo ricotta, 2 types of cheese, bread, glass of wine). Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with our guide and departure for the visit to the Villa Mondragone, one of the most beautiful Tuscolan Villas built by the papal nobility in the sixteenth century; to follow walk in the center of Frascati, a town renowned for the beauty of its countryside and the Tuscolan Villas. After lunch in a farmhouse with local products. Afternoon, visit of the millennial Abbey of San Nilo in Grottaferrata, the only example in Italy of an abbey that still preserves the Catholic-Byzantine rite. Inside there are important frescoes by Domenichino. At the end, return to Frascati. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6th day
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with our guide and departure for Nemi, a small picturesque village overlooking the lake of the same name, where we will discover myths and legends related to the cult of the goddess Diana. We continue to visit Lanuvio, a village of pre-Roman times where today the ancient medieval structure is recognizable. Visit to the Temple of Giunone Sospita and the latest findings of the votive stipe. Moving to an organic wine production company PDO Colli Lanuvini for the visit and tasting / lunch. At the end departure to return to the headquarters.
