Starting directly on foot from the hotel, or with short transfers by car, you'll reach the most famous sights of the Val di Non, such as Lake Smeraldo with its clear waters, the spectacular gorges of the Rio Sass Canyon, and the Sanctuary of San Romedio, considered one of the most evocative hermitages in the world. The trails we will suggest are suitable for those approaching a mountain holiday for the first time or for those who need to relax while strolling through the Val di Non's forests of spruces and larches. At the end of the day, when you're feeling tired, you can unwind in the hotel SPA or indulge your palate with a tasting of typical local products.
Day 1
You have the whole day to comfortably arrive at the hotel in Fondo. The meeting with the guide and the rest of the group is around 6 p.m. to get to know each other and go to dinner. The guide will introduce the guided hikes you'll take in the Upper Val di Non: those leading to Lake Smeraldo with its clear waters, the Sanctuary of San Romedio, and the spectacular gorges of the Rio Sass Canyon.
Day 2
The first hike perfectly reflects a sustainable tourism holiday, as it allows you to start directly on foot from the hotel. You will explore the village of Fondo and its medieval frescoes through an evocative canyon that leads to Lake Smeraldo, a peaceful oasis surrounded by spruce and larch forests. By lunchtime, you'll reach the Regole mountain hut, where you can choose between a packed lunch or a taste of traditional Trentino cuisine. Return through a pleasant forest of larches and spruces. Before dinner, you may relax at the hotel SPA.

Day 3
This second group trek offers a panoramic walk through the meadows of the upper Val di Non, accompanied by views of the Brenta and Maddalene mountain ranges. In the afternoon, you'll explore the Rio Sass Canyon, a deep gorge that cuts through the hamlet of Fondo, made accessible by a spectacular path of walkways and stairways wedged into the rock. You'll end the excursion with a tasting at a typical Trentino brewery-no sustainable holiday would be complete without discovering local products and sampling them! Return to the hotel for some relaxation or a massage at the wellness centre.

Day 4
You'll head to Tret, a fascinating place marking the hidden frontier between Ladin and Germanic cultures. Here, nature offers unique spectacles such as the impressive Pis Waterfall, plunging more than 70 metres into the void, framed by rocky walls and glittering spray. Continue through larch woods and small flowered clearings until you reach the tranquil Lake Tret, a magical spot where time seems to stand still. You can relax by the lake or enjoy a traditional lunch at a mountain hut, tasting the finest South Tyrolean products. On the way back, you'll stop to visit a local beekeeper who will offer a tasting of his products.
Route info: 10 km and 500 m total ascent
Day 5
You'll set out along the scenic trails of the Mendola Pass, a renowned holiday destination of Emperor Franz Joseph and Princess Sissi. Together with the group, you'll gently climb among breathtaking views and cool forests to Malga Romeno, at the foot of the majestic Mount Roen at an altitude of 1,769 metres. During this guided trek, you'll cross flower-filled clearings and traditional alpine huts, where the silence of the mountains blends with the crisp, pure air. Once at the mountain hut, a relaxing break awaits you, accompanied by delicious Trentino dishes made with local ingredients.
Route info: 12 km and 400 m total ascent
Day 6
Among the top 10 things to see in the Val di Non is certainly the Sanctuary of San Romedio. Along a trail carved entirely into the rock, you'll reach the sanctuary, perched atop a 70-metre rocky pinnacle in the middle of a wild valley. Return to Sanzeno along a panoramic trail and visit the museum dedicated to the mysterious Rhaetian people. Enjoy a final SPA session before dinner together.
