Where to experience the thrill of a paragliding flight: what you need to know!

Paragliding is nothing more than a wing made of a specific fabric. It is an instrument as simple as capable of giving unparalleled emotions, a fun way to realize the dream that everyone has done at least once in their life: fly!

Paragliding in two-seater (also called in tandem) is a safe and exciting experience at the same time. The equipment is in fact piloted by a professional instructor who will sit behind you, leaving you in total the emotion of being accompanied by the only rustle of the wind.

To take off you only need a small run and in a moment you find yourself in flight sitting as in the chair: pilot and passenger are in fact comfortably seated in their harnesses, close enough to be able to communicate with ease.
The takeoff is the most exciting moment: after a few steps of running, the sail gradually starts to lift the body and in a few meters you detach from the ground. This phase is carried out from a slope after verifying that the sail has inflated properly.

In flight the air seems to have suddenly a scent never felt before, the silence is almost surreal, the only noise you feel is that of the wind between the ropes of the sail.

A few seconds before landing, you get out of the saddle and back in vertical position, in practice you get back on your feet, supported by harnesses. The contact with the ground is very sweet, similar to the jump from a step and to dispose of the remaining speed it is however sufficient to make only a few steps.

Now you may be wondering if you need to have some special skill to experience the thrill of a flight and whether or not it is suitable for everyone. The answer is no!
Paragliding does not require any specific physical training or special skills of courage. Just be able to make a small run and have so much desire to look at the earth from a different perspective.
Practiced at a purely occasional level and obviously in the right conditions, it is not even considered an extreme sport, but a pleasant sporting activity able to give unique sensations in maximum safety.

Your guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment, including helmet of course. You only have to wear comfortable clothing, without forgetting a sweatshirt or a windproof jacket, even in the hottest seasons. Remember that the temperature at the take-off point is never too high, but in case of altitude gain it is easy to reach relatively low temperatures. Pilots, for example, usually dress as if they were going on a mountain hike.
It is also advisable to have a pair of trekking boots, so as to limit the risk of distortion during takeoff and landing.

Technically you can fly even in the absence of wind and at any time of the year, although each season has its charm and is able to give of course different colors. The guides will assess the weather conditions on each flight and make the best decisions to make you spend an unforgettable experience.
Even those who suffer from vertigo can feel the emotion of paragliding. It is in fact scientifically proven that in flight you do not have fixed reference points because the ďsensor" of our balance that regulates vertigo is activated only when we are standing. During the flight, being comfortably seated and in motion, thanks to the absence of optical references with the ground, vertigo cannot present itself.
In addition, paragliding causes a significant secretion of adrenaline, serotonin and endorphins, causing euphoria, positive emotion and an acute sense of satisfaction.
