Thus the ancient poet Virgilio described, in the Aeneid, a magical place hidden in the pristine heart of Valnerina, where the crystalline waters of the Nera river marry the white spring of sulfur that rises from the bowels of the Sibillini Mountains.
The waters, in contact with the rock, receive energy and heat: they return to the surface rich in sulfur and magnesium at a temperature of about 31 °.
The water that emerges is sulphurous, is a "heroic remedy" for skin diseases, respiratory tract and muscle.
This incredible place, already used by Roman legionnaires to recover strength before returning to Rome, is the Thermal Spa of Baths of Triponzo.
