The Val di Sole is situated within 3 mountain groups (Ortles-Cevedale to the north, Adamello-Presanella to the west and the Dolomites di Brenta to the south-west), and two protected national parks (Stelvio Park and Adamello Brenta Park).

An astounding and varied tour suitable for everybody. From the Malga Mare a comfortable walk on a path which will take you through larch and pine woods to Pian Venezia. From here a wonderful view across the mountain peaks of Vioz, Palon della Mare and Cevedale. On reaching the Larcher mountain refuge (2608 metres a.s.l.) time to eat before heading east. In a short time you will arrive at the enchanting Lake Marmotte noted for its beautiful emerald green reflection.(two and a half hours). After leaving the lake you will find yourselves on the edge of Lake Nero, located close to the manmade Caserer.
