Marvellous itinerary reaching the panoramic area in the center of the mountains from which it is possible to admire the main heights with their glaciers and the picturesque river valleys. But at the beginning of summer the most spectacular view is represented by the blossoming of the flower meadows covering the plateau surrounding the village of Castelluccio di Norcia. The mountain, shaped as a pyramid, is located in the point where three beautiful valleys converge, the Vallelunga, the Vallinfante and the Valley of the lake of Pilato. The area is interesting from a geological point of view as many karstic sites are visible. On july 2nd a Festival takes place in this district, named "Festa della Cona"  re-enacting an historical encounter among the inhabitants from Gualdo (Visso) and from Castelluccio (Norcia) who met to put an end to a long period of battles and conflicts.
