The Giostra of Quintana is one of the most famous historical events in Umbria in the world.

Foligno, one of the most ancient and important cities of Umbria, hosts a seventeenth-century knights' tournament, rigorously masked, among the ten city districts.

The "challenge" takes place in the ancient stadium of Foligno (the "Campo de li Giochi") which must be covered in the shortest possible time, inserting a ring hanging from a statue (the "Quintana") and without receiving penalties.

The streets of Foligno come alive with historical parades in period costume, games and medieval taverns, the true heart of the Rioni. Each district has one and it is here that the aggregation and passion of the People of Quintana is concentrated. The dishes offered are those of the Umbrian tradition, accompanied by the best wines of the area.

At the June event every year follows the Quintana di Settembre also called "The revenge".
