Umbria Jazz is undoubtedly one of the main musical events on an Italian and international level. Every summer attracts in Umbria, and in particular in Perugia, many fans from around the world, allowing them to enjoy a musical show of the highest level in a truly unique setting..

Born in 1973, the Umbria Jazz Festival has now become a fixed appointment between the second and third week of July. Its importance is evidenced by the artists who took part in it during the various editions.

The main theater of the event is the Arena Santa Giuliana, in Perugia, where the most popular concerts are held and where artists who need more space are exhibited; big and comfortable. Then there are the Teatro Pavone and the Oratorio Santa Cecilia, more collected and therefore more suitable for "purists" of the genre and the most authentic Jazz.

Finally, there are daily open and free shows in the historic center of Perugia (Piazza IV Novembre and Giardini Carducci), where the variety of genres played is able to involve a more homogeneous public but always attentive to the quality of the musical offer.
