Cortona On The Move, one of the most famous and appreciated International Photography Festivals in the world, was created with the aim of promoting "the eighth art" and researching new original forms of visual communication.
The continuous search for original contemporary works, stories that affect the public, and evolving techniques have contributed to the success of the festival, which is now a point of reference for established and amateur photographers.
The territory is certainly an added value of the event: Cortona On The Move has returned to the village of Cortona historic buildings and valuable, once abandoned, in extraordinary exhibition locations. A traveling exhibition that allows access to the ancient Fortress of Girifalco, which dominates the city, the old meat warehouse, the abandoned hospital ... places that enrich the displays of special charm.
